The 35-air-cell COMFORT-RACE cushion has been designed and developed based on high-level competition to increase the safety of drivers and co-drivers and prevent spinal injuries due to marathon days of violent impacts inside vehicles.

Competition vehicles continually generate vibrations and violent, unexpected impacts caused by uneven terrain. These continuous vibrations and impacts are transmitted to the athletes' bodies, causing serious spinal injuries due to the crushing or rupture of discs or vertebrae. The use of any other type of cushioning (foam, latex, gel, etc.) dramatically increases the risk of injury. These cushioning systems concentrate the pressure exerted by the trunk on the buttocks in two very different places, increasing pain in the bones and muscles and reducing blood flow to the area. SPECIFICATIONS:
- The COMFORT-RACE air cushion is made of rubber and consists of 35 interconnected cells that allow and provide correct and specific regulation of the air flow. Its maximum dimensions (400mm x 300mm x 50mm) comply in dimension with Art. 16.5 of Annex "J" of the FIA Safety regulations.
- It consists of an inflation and deflation valve made of brass and a one-way and non-return valve also made of galvanized brass.
- The manual pump is also made of rubber and allows to increase the pressure in the cushion.
- The cushion covering as well as its seams and embroidery are made of a specific antibacterial, breathable and fire-retardant ventilation fabric. The base of the cover is made of non-slip polyester, making it easy and comfortable to use.
